Perhaps I should rename it Skeeno to minus 1k

First off changed the theme, not superstituous or nout but perhaps looking at a different background will encurage me to play better.
  • $3.25 10/45. No cards - weak around the bubble. (-$3.25)
  • $3.40 5/10. Same again. (-$3.40)
  • $3.40 9/10. Say no more. Quit. (-$3.40)
  • $3.25 11/45. Funny I'm totally sick of this shit. Folded AA twice in a row aswell which is well stupid but sums things up. I may just abandon this crap, it's making me feel even worse. (-$3.25)

The current bankroll challenge is well the wrong side of zero.

One has to laugh :o)

29/11

Confidence is shot to bits.

  • $2.20 Sat into SHG. 18/66. Top 12 ticket. Weak really - chip leader called my AK shortish shove with air and hit. Carry on. (-$2.20)
  • $4.40 63/180. No hands - no real confidence. Pushed over a limper with an M of 7, he called with AJ my 9K looked lame. GG. (-$4.40)
  • 70FPPS. 2/10. Top 1 ticket. Why bother - heads up I played miserably.
  • $3.40 8/10. Shoved whilst short, called and river sums up my luck. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1752612 (-$3.40)
  • $3.25 45/45. Say no more. (-$3.25)
  • $3.40 7/10. Not great. Pretty average - middle stack limps, I shove - he turns AK, my A9 dead. (-$3.40)
  • $3.25 28/45 (-$3.25)

I will likely give it an evening off. Really feel the confidence seep out of me, perhaps I'll try and encourage myself by going through some old HH's. I just however feel weak . . bleh.

Petition to ban ring.

2 things.

1. Drinking = Bad
2. Ring Games = Bad

Honestly I didn't want to post this, but if every time I have the tempation to play ring, I look at the blog it may tempt me to not. Last night was quite possibly the biggest backward step ever and that's after 18 months playing. Some 500 hands of limit and lost a shedload before hooking up a $16 sng. Which fortunately I played ok in somehow.

  • $2.75 1633/2453 - Rubbish. (-$2.75)
  • $3.40 2/10 ($5.60)
  • $6.50 17/45 (-$6.50) short/suckout city as usual
  • $3.25 38/45 (-$3.25)
  • 2/4L - Start = $20. End = $36. ($16)
  • 1/2L - Start = $20. End = $0. (-$20)
  • 1/2L - Start = $40. End = $0. (-$40)
  • 1/2L - Start =$19. End = $0. (-$19)
  • $16 9 man. 2/9 ($24.50)

Hmm what can we say not much really. The cash and Carlsberg Export curse struck again. Mind Pritch can be blamed for the limit blow up. I really feel shit ... ps I may show some of the limit hands and someone can berate me for em. Infact I don't really want to think about it, 3 of the things I've tried to get shot off, playing cash, playing above the bankroll and tilting all returned in one fail swoop. However this may be one of the most important posts I make, if I hide the fact I played stupidly then I may do it again!! Posting this doesn't make me feel better but I sure hope it's a deterrent.

:o(

A terrific blow-up for the challenge

Bankroll -87.22

28/11

Beats a plenty.
  • $3.40 10 man. 3/10 ($2.60)
  • $5.50 Turbo. 912/2125. 2 beats hallejuh - most pointless tourney on Stars. (-$5.50)
  • $3.40 10 man. 2/10 ($5.60) - possibly the longest heads up ever (68 hands) and some fun hands thrown in both of us got short and well he ended up having the luck. Still not bad, funniest hand had to be this one . . . totally screwed after this to 700 chips http://www.pokerhand.org/?1750620 yet he then ended up that low aswell and still ended up sucking out.
  • $3.25 45 man. 4/45 ($11.75) - yet again dealt a beat, played well frig sake. I can't even be arsed to go into detail but with the blinds at 1k/2k the final table becomes a crapshoot and my JJ lost to K8. gg - still a profit. I will however post this hand, donkey of they day jaegearn http://www.pokerhand.org/?1750633

    More to come . .

Tuesday 27 November 2007

Sigh

  • $3.40 10 man. 5/10 (-$3.40)
  • $1.10 UKFF. 76/98 (-$1.10) - not much to say, started off in decent shape, picked up several pots then my KK got crushed. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1746434
  • $1.65 Limit. 296/588 (-$1.65)
  • $0.10 Freeroll. 2635/4564 (-$0.10) - deja vu anyone? http://www.pokerhand.org/?1746627
  • $8.80 394/1271. Short from the off after a reckless move with AQ vs AK on a board of AK4 - pushed 10 7 - horribly called by A 8 - ggfish. (-$8.80)

Can't be arsed anymore today . . . feel pretty fed up to be fair.

-$15.05 for the session.

Overall -$56.27.

Game on.

  • 70fpp thing. 2/10. Dealt a beat heads up AK lost to K6.
  • $3.40 10 man. 1/10 ($11.60)

Key hand in the 10 man, was five handed and a suck out. http://www.pokerhand.org/?1744866 These things turn to push or fold when the ante's kick in and the raisers range is far beyond A10. Makes a change to get lucky :o)

Anyways more updates as we go.

Running Profit -$41.22

27/11

A quite magnificent start.

  • $2.20 6 Max. 1182/1608 (-$2.20)
  • $3.40 10 man. 2/10 ($5.60)
  • $5.50 Turbo. 261/2340 (-$5.50)
  • $3.25 45 man. 10/45 (-$3.25)
  • $3.25 45 man. 40/45 (-$3.25)
  • $6.50 18 man. 8/18 (-$6.50)
  • Oh dear - cash blew (-$37.78). I've not got a) the patience for ring. b) the ability. c) the bankroll.

So overall a pretty appalling start of minus $52.88.

Hand of the day which is a fun feature was this one in the $5.50 turbo, which I actually played okay in. To be fair I played okay all round aside from donking off drunk in cash, which has to stop. Pokerstars pls ban me from ring games.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1744634

I don't understand his flop shove . . . one bit considering my sign of strength pre and post flop . . A4 aint beating much. Fact I then make a dodgy call and lose is irrelevant, his play here is laughable in my opinion.

More tomorrow but the challenge is off to a sick start.

Target $1,000. Currently -$52.88

Skeeno to 1k. 26th November.

Okay the last blog was pretty hopeless. This one I promise to update . . .

November however has been a pretty decent month overall with an upswing of $250. Including a 16th in the $3.30 30k guaranteed for $178. I did take a sickening beat when my set lost to quads on the river but life goes on http://www.pokerhand.org/?1744881. A couple of other decent scores leaves me feeling more than confident.

Anyways I'm determined to update this everyday and start a brand new challenge - making a $1k as quickly as possible. Once I've made it I'll start a new challenge. Like making another or nailing ring games.

I'll probably look at mixing games up, with avoiding the ring games a main priority.

Current profit $0.
